If you like generic Isekai, you'll like this. Don't read it if you're actually looking for something substantial.I'll be upfront and say that despite the new and interesting premise of having it be a space-isekai, it actually does literally nothing else to break away from the cliches and tropes of what you would normally see in an isekai.I'm a bit disappointed, as the Chinese Sci-Fi isekai I've read have two amazing contenders: "The Legendary Mechanic" and "It's not Easy to be a Man After Travelling to the Future". You'd think that the Japanese have this genre done and exploited decades ago, especially considering how big mecha and stuff was in the past, but the only contender I've encountered was "I'm the Evil Lord of and Intergalactic State" and I have some gripes even with that (jury's still out on "The World of Otome Games is Tough For Mobs").So what can you expect out of this?An OP MC who starts off as a cardboard cutout of every cheap isekai protagonist out there, and remains as one throughout the entire story. ie. no character development.The romance subplot is nonexistant, with women throwing themselves at the MC for... reasons? It feels like they love him because he's acts like a wimpy virg*n around people he's not actively sleeping with. My primary concern with the harem is that it felt natural enough with the first two members, the third was... forced, but works to accomodate other aspects of the story, but there are three other potential members that seem to be lining up and it just feels unecessary. Please go away and leave my OT3 in peace. The one other constant female character in the story would make a good friend, but I feel they'll ruin it and have her join the queue as well....Plot progression is completely random. The author slaps on some weird "Flag" mechanism where someone around the MC says something, it will then pretty much immediately happen. It was funny the first three times, but the twenty times after that it was boring. Some of the scenarios are quite fun, but they're only 'original' in the sense that there aren't other science fantasy isekai out there to exploit them.TL;DR it's 98% cliches and 2% space. Would be better as smut.
