I really like this, but I think it's definitely a hit or miss based on your preferences. The start's a bit rough, but it soon gets quite interesting (the more professors there are, the more interesting it is). Note that the story relies heavily on misunderstandings. If you don't like that type of novel, you might get annoyed. Also, the summary is kinda misleading? It sounds like he wants to be a slacker, but bro is 100% a workaholic in denial.I think the MC's personality is pretty interesting even if it's not the most exciting. Let me try to describe him. He has almost endless patience (it's really funny when he actually gets angry enough to express it), is nice but also quite ruthless to people he doesn't like or care about, very competent, is a workaholic, very money-minded, very practical, good at communicating, a genius, hard working, very strong for his age, and acts as a nanny for his inept classmates sometimes. The story feels like slice-of-life (since it's about the MC's school life), but it has fun action moments and is way more drama/action-packed. You would think a story about simply attending school (even if it's magic school) might be boring, but the teachers are insane. Like, I'm surprised no student has died so far even though the professors try to keep the students alive. Most of the conflict in the story comes from the MC trying to survive his madlad teachers while kissing up to them for good grades. It's a impressive balancing act. Also, the teachers are the highlights of the novel. Like, the classmates/friends are memorable enough, but the teachers with their zany personalities make the novel interesting. You can't wait to see how the Principal and other teachers will attempt to torture/teach the students. Also, I genuinely feel touched whenever I see a sane teacher (they're such a rarity) that tries to take care of the students' sanity. The magic system is also well-designed imo. The MC is quite OP, but he's worked hard for it since his one cheat has drawbacks at times. He's also not insanely OP since he still takes losses against super strong enemies (*cough the Principal), but he's well above his peers in strength. The way he uses magic is also fun to read about. No romance so far since the MC feels like a nanny amongst most of his peers. Also, if you think the classmates are dumb, please remember that these are teens. Some teens do really dumb stuff, while others are more level-headed.The story's pacing is pretty slow, but I read ~430 chapters in one go without being bored at all. I'm sad I ran out of chapters. That said, the MC is still a first year :v after 430 chapters, and there are... 4-5? years? So this novel might take a while. It's genuinely worth it though if you like it after reading ~50 chapters (the start takes time to get going). I can't wait until we meet more of the MC's family :v but I feel like that'll take another 500 chapters... Either way, I'd be happy to read 2k chapters of this.
