Read a review saying the fic gets worse after c150. Well Idk if it does since the current translation isn't there, but so far the fic takes heavy inspiration from Legendary Mechanic. However, it isn't to the s*upid degree of using the player base as a unthinking hive to further his objectives. So far there just there to... honestly I have no idea why they're even here. The fic has yet to use any of the players in a big meaningful way, and even when they're brought up in individual POVs, I tend to skip the entire chapter so I can read the MCs POV.So the issue is that you can skip about 15% of the story and still understand what is going on. The players are boring enough that you don't have to waste time reading about them, and there are too many battles back to back. I wish to see more world building or character development in breaks between fights. Not reading every individual fight in the tournament of the current arc.However, the fic does have an original story. The author isn't scared to step away from canon to make an original plot. There is a duel spirit waifu, so its pretty nice to read.Rate 3.8/5
