It's almost like Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, in how it's about an elf traveling around, staying for a while, and then moving on when they feel like it. Except it's done with a reincarnated human, so the journey is more fun. It's great in that there's minimal hanger-ons that hinder the journey itself, with no pointless romance to get in the way of a 1000+ year lifespan's worth of time to spend in seeing the world.Above all else, it's the personality and motivation of the protagonist that's truly refreshing. Because it's hard to find someone who's more of an observer of the world than a participant that got caught up in the flow. The way they care to do things mostly for fun and not for power growth for the sake of more power itself, or for the sake of some loved one they get conveniently shipped with early on to artificially give them more reasons to do things is a great thing. The protagonist may be influenced by the wishes and requests of others, but only when he cares to give a damn, and not because of social obligations that he needs to adhere to to fit in society. It's a story fill with freedom.
