It starts off a bit slow, but once the story picks up its pace, it reveals the brilliance of the hidden gem that it is.

This is a Kingdom/Guild building story, where the protagonist is intelligent and empathetic. He is truly a kind guy, but he recognizes the weight of his position as a leader and is willing to get his hands dirty if necessary. His chef skills are interesting and he uses them cleverly. The secondary characters are memorable; they might seem unremarkable at first, but gradually, their uniqueness and personalities are better exposed and developed as the story progresses. I strongly recommend this novel, even to readers who usually dislike kingdom building, because it has many "weak to strong" and lit RPG element.
