Quick Transmigration Female Lead: Male God, Never Stopping Chapter 382 Discussion

I started reading this with low expectations and was somehow still disappointed. I understand that not every novel needs to be the height of literature, and the summary admits off the bat that this is meant to be a sweet pampering novel with plenty of face slapping. However, even for this genre the writing seems sloppy and lazy. The MC never faces any real struggles in any of the arcs, except for the ones she makes for herself. As a result it’s incredibly hard to feel any sort of empathy for the MC and instead you end up feeling like the ‘antagonists’, especially the female ones, are much more worthy of pity. Occasionally the author outright fails to make them villainous at all and so you get to slough through 30 chapters of the MC physically and mentally abusing what appears to be for the most part a completely innocent woman.

As for the romance, it’s incredibly lacking. The author will give the ML and MC a somewhat provoking history in each arc but not have the guts to follow through.

Spoiler

This was especially prominent in The Golden Boss: Film Empress ex-wife’s cuteness arc. For once I thought the MC would have to do some grovelling and put in the work to mend the relationship between her and the ML after their divorce. But nope, he is so devoted to her he even HELPS HER STEAL COMPANY SECRETS!!! At that point it’s not love it’s s*upidity. Not to mention every show biz arc is basically copy and paste.

Furthermore, the MC’s constant complaining about the system being a cheapskate annoys me SOOO much, because it never actually impacts the plot in any significant way. Instead of it being an opportunity for the MC to show some cleverness by finding a less expensive way to spend her points to achieve her goals, it ends up being the same boring set up of her calling the system cheap and then dropping 500 points on a skill with no repercussions. Look, if you’ve got 10000 points in the bank and you’re still calling a 500 skill expensive just shut up.

It’s especially frustrating when the MC spends points to buy an op fighting skill, only to need to be rescued by the ML anyway.

Spoiler

For example, in the So what if you’re my sister? Arc (which I found pretty disturbing, honestly) the MC is shown multiple times taking down ten men at once. She also wins against Brother Dog who is wielding a knife and has apparently been a full on gangster for a while. But somehow, completely illogically, the MC fails to defend against the much less experienced, and also singular attacker, the former pampered miss antagonist. This results in the ML being stabbed. Ridiculous.

Every time the author chooses the worst way to prop the ML up, by randomly making the MC suffer from bouts of incompetence that are not only OOC but straight up make me wonder if her brain has gone offline.

Long story short, if you’re looking for an intriguing and well thought out novel this isn’t for you. And if you’re looking for a sweet pampering novel with a side of face slapping I still don’t recommend this. There are plenty of other novels that take a similar plot line but do it much better.

Trust me, this isn’t worth it.
