It's a pretty solid novel, overall. Heroines are mostly choroines, and plot developments/action sequences mostly follow the deux ex machina line of thought. It's not a bad novel for idle reading.That said, I think the author kinda kicked themselves in the foot with the initial setup. The main character didn't want to reincarnate - he got guilt tripped into it when the goddess told him that he could save another person's life if he did so - which means he actively doesn't really feel any attachment to other people.Spoiler
When his fiance ran out of the room crying, and his sister told him dramatically to run after her, his response was "but my father grounded me to this room, so I'll let you take care of it instead." Who even gives that as an excuse?
[collapse]There are also many forced developments later on, like the MC growing to Level 20 in a single day (his former body took 16 years to grow to Level 18 before his level got reset), the MC suddenly being a prodigy healer despite the setting formerly saying that he didn't study or practice at all, and the MC using leaps and bounds in his logic as a play detective during an assassination attempt. The novel also intensely fat shames the MC, even though we find out later (~c40 or so) that he's only 75kg (~160 lb) - definitely chubby for a high schooler, but by no means obese to the level that everyone should despise him for it (he apparently couldn't even get a personal maid/butler because everyone hated his appearance so much?) ? The deux ex machina is very strong in this novel, unfortunately, but if you put that aside it's not exactly a bad novel.
