I did not particularly like the ML but he's not bad as compared to that someone I dreaded would be. Spoiler

I liked Ilya but I guess not a lot of people likes that physical age gap... Although it's not like Clyde is particularly young either. Anyways it seems this time we don't have an author who's blinded by toxic bad-boy male lead and I'm glad. Yes, it's not Ozwald.

I'm satisfied with the ML.

And I like how each character has a reason to like her unlike what someone claimed that "FL ML forcefully connected". Maybe illiterate, couldn't read that there's that affection level indicator. Everyone can be friends, how's that a forceful connection?

I love the story, the plot, and the fact that our MC is not actually dense to the point of s*upidity but just a normal kinda dense that's within normal human's capacity. You'll know if u actually meet real human.

I love that she's not the generic "strong at the beginning, trying to be heartless, but ended up weak when it comes to ML". She IS strong, she doesn't disregard human relationships. As a person, I found her strong mentally and emotionally

Like when she lost 'Damian', I broke down. I don't think I could do the same if I was her. It was short couple hours for her but her feelings was there and I love how the author convey that love between them. That version of Damian never existed anymore, and she doesn't blindly project that 'Damian' on the real Damian either.

and the way she dealt with people was, imho, very favorable. She's not so petty that it feels unreal and feed delusional minds. She's a victim of this all situations but in the end she got what she wanted and the one who put her in misery got his comeuppance.

All in all, I love this novel and the toxic males are just some tragic existences that I feel like "yeah those kind of men do exist, but I'm not human if I fall for them irl."
