Rating: 4/5, nothing groundbreaking but very readableSummary: Sheng Quan read a novel about the entertainment industry where countless bright stars were strangled and dimmed. Enraged and sleep-deprived, she got into a car accident and died. Then she woke up again as a younger version of herself in the world of the novel with a system that gives her money specifically to invest in good people who need help. With her knowledge of the novel, background in marketing, and copious funds provided by the system, she decides to protect all the stars from the novel and create the biggest company in the world.Drawbacks: Nationalism overdose. Condescending about other countries. Huge cast that becomes forgettable as time goes on. Focuses on MC's actions so there's not much going on in the actual entertainment industry. For example, the MC produces three movies, but I really couldn't tell you what those were about. I can tell you how many bodyguards she has, the number of times she does yoga, and what technology she invests in but not any endorsements, movies, or songs by her artists. Also, somehow her being a fairly pretty and rich "Midas Touch" in the industry makes it so that it's funny/cute/acceptable for her to be leering at handsome men and beautiful women, especially while they're working out.Romance: There's flirtation throughout the novel but it's more like people falling for MC's charisma and offering themselves up to her or slight indications of yandere-ness or jealousy. Someone said there was no foreshadowing the official pairing but I'd disagree because there are numerous times that the narrative touches on emotional upheavals for the three characters most obsessed with MC.The official pairing is one that was expected, in my opinion. It's not particularly exciting, especially because she acts like a scumbag when receiving the confession, but it's there. She does have a harem, really, but it's not explicitly stated. It might have made more sense if they just came out with it and made it a reverse harem, officially.
