I liked the MC. I appreciated his pursuit of a retirement life. I liked that he wasn't coy with the ml. Admittedly, his character was a little flat because besides being mysterious and OP, there wasn't much more depth. I wish the author explored his origins or past experiences that shaped him. Since it was a light read, it was inconsequential.The more I read, the more frustrated I became with the side characters. They had no EQ, no sense of boundaries whatsoever, and none could hold water. It really dampened my enjoyment.
