Kenichi and Tanaka were not equal - Tanaka quickly lost control and almost did some serious damage to Kenichi. Kenichi stuck to the rules of sparring and only sought a formal hit. In the end, the Masters intervened to stop Tanaka because he was about to crush Kenichi.



Tanaka is waaaaay stronger than Kenichi, even during that sparring match.

Wow, this was just too crazy, we all knew that Tanaka would lose (obvs), and probably die, but like this....



I kinda wanted his wooden neck cross to hit Kensei and leave some big damage, but when that missed, and he tried to rip out Kensei's throat, I knew it was over.



In the end, he went out like a real G against the main bad guy, gotta respect him for that.



Great fight, enjoyed it a lot.

This is beautiful, this is the History's strongest disciple Kenichi that I knew, that got me into it in the first place, martial arts, philosophy, thoughts on ethics and morals alike, and biting out peoples throats. I guess the mangaka figured that showing a mass amounts of tits during Tanaka's final moments wouldn't be appropriate, maybe it'll continue to be like this? I hope so.

Wow, so that's what Tanaka means by "giving up [his] humanity!!" Nice bite to to the neck, Tanaka! I have never seen such move like that in Material Arts ever.



I wonder if the fingers to the eyes can actually blind Kensei. I hope he gets some serious damages after this fight. He has somehow become my most hated master in the Shadow Nine Fists. Even Junazard looks like a nice master compare to Kensei. >"<



Let's Tanaka rests in peace. His death is the most emotional in the manga yet, not counting the almost death of Apachai :(( Kenichi must remember Tanaka's lession well. That is "not shredding one's humanity for revenge." I'm having a feeling that this will come back later. Bracing for a major character's death you guys :(



This arc ends with a blast. Who will come to collect the remains?

Those last few pages just saved this arc...

                        Intense and Insane ending to the fight

The overall arc has been pretty slow and dragged out but the fight between the two was amazing to say the least.

he never intended to kill Kensei, only to damage his throat, so that he wont be able to teach martial arts anymore. wow
