Well that was an intense arm wrestling match. Alita and Esdog are having a stroll through town and here we finally get some insight into how Alita is feeling about Ido after leaving him so abruptly and ignoring him the last time she saw him. She feels bad for cutting him out of her life, even if it's temporary and she says she's grateful for all that he's done for her. She admits that she loves him very much, but just couldn't find the right way to express it to him. It's great to finally find out how she feels about this whole situation since we already know how strongly Ido is feeling.
Shumira and Jasugun appear as well as Ido, who is introduced as Jasugun's new tuner. Alita is surprised to see him and Esdog notices her reaction. Ido challenges her to say something about it as Alita is taken aback by Ido's behavior before gritting her teeth and saying she's never seen him before. Ido scoffs at the idea of Alita challenging Jasugun after the subject is brought up and continues to say some touchy stuff about her to piss her off, which definitely works and causes Alita to get mad and challenge Jasugun to a match. He declines, but he decides to challenge her to an arm wrestling match. He talks about Ki and focusing ones energy into an instant burst. Then he says he'll give her a match if she wins, to which she ups the antics and bets her heart on the match. Ido begins to worry here and tries to get Jasugun to call off the match, but it doesn't work. Jasugun and Alita have their match and in an instant Alita almost manages to win, but Jasugun holds out. He gets back to an even playing field before Alita's arm burns out and he calls the match over. He says he's destroyed 80% of her arm, but in the end, he grants her a match against him if she can gather a 5 person team to challenge him per regulation rules. She agrees and Jasugun and his company leave. As Jasugun walks away, his arm falls off at the elbow joint since it broke. He claims Alita damaged almost 100% of his arm and he would have lost had the match gone on a bit longer. He smiles at the idea of sticking around for a bit longer to see what the future holds. Pretty cool overall to see Alita pull that off against the champ. She's also happy to know there's amazing people like Jasugun out there in the world.
