The novel started out really good.

MC is shameless and lazy and has op system. Unlike other novels where MC uses every ounce of time to train, going through extreme pains to gain more power, the MC here has no such will. After all, he is a young master with really strong father. Why should he care about training? Thanks to the system he got, all he has to do is make people angry.

You might think this makes for a boring novel - kinda naive and unmotivated MC, really op system, no real danger etc. But its the comedy and MC 'genius' ways of gathering anger points. Its hilarious and nice to see the MC break the usual xianxia/wuxia mold. A young master from a powerful family making trouble? Perfect, free anger points! A young master from a powerful family not making trouble? Well, that means he has to make trouble with him, cant give up the opportunity to earn easy points!

Also loved how the novel held some concepts haven't really seen in other ones. For example, MC, thanks to his op system, levels up really fast, getting into realms many cant even touch in their whole life. It makes sense that there is no competition in his age group anymore. There is no influx of more and more genius young masters from bigger and bigger clans that can somehow keep up with MC cheats. Instead he has to face increasingly older people, as time is required to cultivate to higher realms.

Anyway, enough of the good stuff. As I stated first, the novel started out really good. So what went wrong?

Well, pretty much everything.

It started out nicely, MC slowly levels up and has to find creative ways to gain points. You could say in like ~150 chapters MC has finally breached the 1st realm, becoming very strong for his age. The idea is great, pacing is good, seems like everythings going well.

But then go forward another 150 chapter and MC is suddenly 6-7 realms higher. Literally, some realms we only learn the name, they are just skipped entirely.

And as you imagine, with higher and higher cultivation, it will mean more and more fights. At start, there really wasnt much combat. If there was, it didnt really matter.

But as the novel goes on, more and more focus is on combat, instead of the comedy of earning points. It would be fine, if the author could write exciting combat scenes. But he cant. Its literally, who can hit harder wins. Throw a fancy name or two but in the end its still who can punch stronger wins.

The whole spiel of the novel is that MC can learn techniques instantly with the system, but that literally doesnt matter. In the end its still gonna be enemy attacks, MC attacks, MC attack is stronger, enemy gets defeated. Or if MC is weaker, he just stacks every ability together and hits stronger.

How I wished it was similar to The way of the devil, where MC physique changes as he learns more techniques. But no, MC can learn 100 different body technique, but the only change that he gets is that he is stronger now.

So overall, the novel started out well, but lost its original idea in the process. Still worth reading tho.
