Side Character Transmigrations: The Final Boss is No Joke Chapter 63 Discussion

Writing is very simple and there is little cohesion between the layout of the world and what MC chooses to do it in. It feels like she's doing whatever she likes and because she is just so op or has a golden thigh to rely on, we don't actually get to understand how she is able to do this most of the time. Honestly, without the system, there is little difference between her and a normal MC you'd find in most amateur Chinese web novels.

I think for most people, the aspect that would draw them in the most is the face slapping as well as the humor. For me, humor is very predictable. I've yet to even smile at a single use of humor by the author. Are my standards too high? Maybe. But I think the reason for this is because most of the humor is either set in very predictable situations, or spontaneously put into more serious situations where it doesn't fit at all.

As for the face slapping. It only feels good when it's a turnaround. There is very little tension, probably because of the way author writes, for there to be any doubt that MC would lose to other parties. So when she puts her enemies in their place, I don't feel any sense of victory. Her counters are not good people, they are set up to be despicable so that we can easily hate them and relish in our MC. If you like world building and complexity, I don't think this story is for you. If you're just in it for some quick and easy fun, it could be.
