My brother-in-law is Russian so I get to hear all the great stuff about those guys, they make NY mob look like whimps. Where does everyone think the KGB agent went when the curtain fell. To the mob of course. What so sad is this story is true, the underword treats you like property...was in a bar once, didn't know it was owned by Russian MOB in NY. Owner wanted to set me up as his mistress, barely got out of there considering he had 5 bodyguards with 9mm guns not letting me move. They do look at you as a "possession". Lucky for me I had political connection in my home state of Texas and dropped some names and that got me a get out of MOB central pass. So be carefull this can happen in real life believe it or not!
