TLDR: The story thus far is pretty interesting but the translators are a bunch of jabronis.Also, it's not an "isekai" LN so that's a plus.Characters:The characters are interesting for the most part.The main character is a low tier adventurer but he's made the best out of it through his strong work ethic, cunning, and social skills. He seems to be a thoughtful guy that doesn't hold any delusions of grandeur; having been stuck in the bottom rung of the adventurer's guild for quite some time.The current state of LNs/mangas have made this sort of character into somewhat of a cliche but the twist is that he's not OP despite having said attributes.Having said that, once he resurrects he's seemingly on the up and up and is able to slowly break through plateaus that he never could as a human. It's fun seeing him progress rather than watching an OP guy breeze through every single adversary. The fact that not every event is a walk in the park adds more weight to the story and character.Certain characters seem to exist as generic foils simply for the sake of fulfilling a trope (*cough* knight gril), luckily, they aren't frustratingly unlikable.Writing:The writer has a simple format where he introduces the character then provides a chapter or two explaining their backstory and why they're relevant to the story/situation.It's a nice and simple way to introduce characters but it can mess up the tempo of the main story a little bit.Afterthought:The translations are still early on in the story so there isn't much to talk about. It looks promising and it has an interesting setting.I mainly made this review so I could justify bashing the translators at the end.If it weren't for these translations, I probably would have never read/found out about this LN but my gratitude ends there. These people are charging 50 bucks monthly via Patreon for you to have access to their other chapters. It's their translations so they can hold it for as long as they want, but the line ends when they start profiting off another person's written work. The fact that you can read the Japanese version for free from the author himself makes this even more frustrating. This absurd price, never-mind the fact the fact that there shouldn't be a price in the first place, coupled with the error-ridden translations is insulting.Bottom line, if you finish reading what "Rox" has translated, go to the JP site and pop those bad boys in google translate. Quality will be just as good (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
