I wanted to see how everything is resolved and to be honest, I wanted a different ending. I checked a couple of times to make sure that I didn't miss any chapters.

Some arcs were enjoyable and some were... questionable. The ending, unfortunately, wrapped up in about 4 short chapters while some arcs kind of rambled on - it really seems that the author ran out of steam and just wanted to finish the story. It's been awhile since I started this and I had put it on hold while waiting for updates during the zombies arc. I enjoyed the zombies story, cabin in the woods, village bride (actually happens according to the author!), the cat story and a few more.

Shen He and Shang Yu, half-brothers and of the heaven realm who both love the protagonist (+ Yu Yutong) sacrifice themselves to give Xi Ying, the Demon Lord, a chance to survive since by killing plane lords for their crystal (hearts) in order to rebuild the demon realm, she is destined to never be reborn as the crystals are part of her. The bad guy is the Mother of Heaven who hates demons. She lies to Shen He so that he kills Xi Ying at their wedding, thinking it's the only way for them to truly be together - she can enter reincarnation/pass through the planes to be reborn as a "normal" person of the heaven realm.

However, without the love of her life and her good friend, what is the point of living... so she blows up the three realms. Ends with the memory of her first time seeing Shen He (and falling in love) while she's playing chess with Shang Yu. I can only console myself that she did spend a lifetime with Shen He's soul on some of the planes. They really should tag that it's a sad ending. It will take time to get over it. (

Towards the end, we don't have the insights from the conversations between Xi Ying and the system support XiYi (?). After she chose to side with Xi Ying, we rarely hear from her since Xi Ying doesn't need to swap points for props and in the final 1-2 arcs, she doesn't appear.

What ever happened to Xi Ying's pregnancy? She is only pregnant when she returns to the lord space but I guess in her later plans, she goes directly from plane to plane and never revisits that space again?
