This story is below average. I don’t like any of the characters and the story is a series of tropes that I’ve seen dozens of times before.- broken engagement- the spirit of an old master in the MC- dysfunctional family- troubled past and sad previous lifeThere’s nothing wrong with these things as long as the author gives it an original twist but that’s just the thing it doesn’t. I don’t care about any of the characters because they’re unoriginal. I don’t care about the story because it’s another regression novel. This isn’t going to kill your brain cells but I wouldn’t read this even if I was bored.
