This is an interesting novel, although not all the time. The premise is that the MC is a typical worker who has just been laid off, but he's also rare genius at schemes and plans, whose luck is terrible and who craves money. Although unscrupulous, he never breaks his word. He's coldly logical but also does not completely lack sympathy. One day, he gets roped into a horror game (supernatural + survival + game elements + livestreaming), and, basically, MC fits in perfectly there. All in all, pretty interesting at first glance. This novel is more big on the horror than some other novels that act like they're in the horror genre, but kind of trivialize that aspect and make 'cute' ghosts and such, which is a plus. It's not a fluffy novel and the romance is not the biggest part of it (I'd say it looks closer to a subplot at this point). There are also a bunch of fairly well-written side characters, each with backstories and personalities and character development of their own.The arcs are long, and the author really employs the Unspoken Plan Guarantee (to keep the suspense up, the MC's plans are concealed.) This makes the arcs a bit draggy and it can also make it seem like results come from nowhere, since the author tries pretty hard to make MC look really smart. The ML also rarely appears (that Long Separations tag is real, guys), but he has a fairly strong presence for how scarce his appearances are. It seems like everyone agrees that the first two arcs are the best (I agree). The plot is actually quite deep and gets deeper as the novel goes on, but whether or not the developments fit in with the rest of the story is up to interpretation. Also, please put spoilers in the spoiler tag, guys. It's not that hard. Looking at you, person whose username starts with 3.
