Flower Stealing Master Chapter Completed Discussion

That ending was horribly rushed. I enjoyed the first 1000 chapters of the novel. Owing to the idea of MC disguising himself throughout his adventures while seducing and conquering beautiful women. Not to mention that this fanfic novel tries to integrate Jin Yong's 14 novels with at an added isekai and netori twist.

By 1500+ chapters. Things to started to annoyingly drag. Character development is still in progress for Song Qingshu but the inconsistencies and redundant dialogues are becoming more prevalent.

MC is written to be a smart and martial arts prodigy. Yet there are times where the author forcibly reduces his IQ out of nowhere, and by the end of the novel, makes him a super hypocritical person, which makes it unpleasant and hard to read. Kind of like a dramatic soap opera. A womanizer and soft-hearted when it comes to beauties, the plot armor for the MC is often observable in a lot of arcs.

The world-building borrows the foundation of Jin Yong's novels so it should be rich and vibrant with many places and characters. I didn't like how the author took the direction of the MC always disguising himself with another all the time then end the arc with him controlling the kingdom by placing his women disguised as the previous rulers. I mean, the guy had an aura of a conqueror, why go do that nonsensical stuff of hiding in the shadows when the ending makes him the emperor of a unified China?

All that fuss about "cant publicize our [forbidden] relationship because you're a widow and it will affect our reputation" is all big bullsh*t when you have the strength and the power to withstand public opinion. Who the f*ck cares about that? It's the 15th century and the mongol horde under gengis khan are swiftly conquering the world and guy is worried about his social standing when he's OP, has an army and a territory LMAO. MC doesn't take advantage of his modern knowledge to place himself as an enlightened despot. He does use his knowledge about events and characters from the novel. Though if this happened, it should be named as "The Flower Conqueror" not "Flower Stealing Master"

Author's creativity really goes down by Chapters 2000+ where it all becomes repetitive. The harem follows your chinese harem archetype where a max affinity heroine loses their relevance and only reappears occasionally except for the female protagonists of the Jinyong novels. The romance and netori was fun. The few fight scenes where MC is highlight are enjoyable too.

Overall, this isn't something I'd reread. Perhaps due to my lack of foreknowledge of Jin Yong's works. Goblinslate's translations are excellent but that ending in the raws were rushed. Hard to say who's the best girl most of them contribute to MC's character development.
