I’ve read through 4 story worlds and I can say while this story isn’t terrible it’s definitely not good. It’s your usual face slapping QT novel, except there’s 2 massive problems that I really can’t get over. First off in spite of the MC proclaiming herself a “strong independent women” she’s not. She has a Mary Sue aura and all of her problems seem to either solve themselves or a ML jumps out to solve them for her. The Villains seem to repeatedly trip over their own feet without the MC having to actually do anything. The second and larger problem is that the MC is just kind of a terrible person, but everyone acts like she isn’t. Given her background as a demonic cultivator, I’d expect her to be callus and cruel, but she’s not. She’s weirdly rule obsessed and never breaks the law or resorts to violence unless absolutely necessary. She doesn’t scheme or anything either. However she’s a self obsessed narcissist, and treats everyone around her like tools, particularly the ML she’s completely insincere towards. So after she strings along the ML for a while and treats him like a disposable boy toy the autor goes on a rant about how you only have to care about yourself and that makes you a “strong independent women”. Not solving your own problems, but just not giving any sincerity back to the ML who solved all the problems. And all the characters treat this like it’s a good thing and and she’s such a great person that it completely obliterates my sense of disbelief. I want to like this, I really do, but I just can’t.
