I only tried because I'm a sucker for the marriage of convenience trope. I'm really not all about that naive, innocent, soft, child-like type of shou. If I did, I may as well read shota. I know that the signs may mean that his mental growth was stunted, but it's really just not my cup of tea. I personally think it's an excuse to make the shou capture the gong's heartstrings, otherwise how are they going to advance their relationship when you have a stone-faced, romantically clueless gong? I could already tell that this is the standard, fluff-filled formula for ML to constantly pamper/spoil/protect the MC, MC to remain oblivious to the world, all while the antagonists get their cliche af face-slapping.Sigh, onto the next one.
