Holy shitttt, this novel's angst is so good? Bad? Either way, I'm not even finished but the amount of hate I have for ML and his father is so strong. Also, their feelings, at least ML's "love" is so superficial. Spoiler

Like a f*cking arrogant, self-absorbed a**hole, he only admits to himself that he loves her AFTER it's proven that Andrea is their child?What?? Then he has the audacity to say that he wishes he had told her he loves her earlier? Just as that witch, Lucy, said, the imperial family only cares about appearances. His only thoughts were questioning why this was happening, and if she could forgive him in ghe future, and hardly tries to take responsibility for his actions, his feelings, anything, even in his head.

MINOR SPOILERS!! For starters, ML's actions are arguably "not his fault, " but that doesn't change his undeserved doubt and disrespect towards FL.

He was being fed drugs that basically amplified his negative feelings for FL, but the KEYWORD is AMPLIFIED. Even before meeting her (at her home, af the start), he already had a horribly spoiled, arrogant attitude, and was downright an a**hole. Sure, he mellows out after the effects are nullified by Eliana, but that doesn't excuse the fact that he has doubts about FL's loyalty for no reason.

Anyways, I think both ML and FL at the moment are both too immature for the situation they are in, only ML's fiancee seem level headed. FL is too weak-willed for her environment, and ML and his family are just irredeemable a**holes. Spoiler

ML's father, the emperor pretends to be grateful to FL's mother for saving his son, then later reveals that he only ever thought of FL as a tool to save his son.

One more thing that annoys me is this novel's amount of smut. It happens in the most random times, and dulls down the angst... Like why is ML's first reaction to getting FL back, granted she lost her memories, is to have s*x with her? 💀💀💀 Be fr. Even on the synopsis his method of helping her recollect her memories is to f*ck? Their relationship is so superficial though I am only halfway through. Spoiler

Also, I think it's f*cking crazy how FL just allows ML to have s*x with her several times, arguably forced, then says she is angry at herself for not being able to hate him completely? What the f*ck.
