As a whole, the novel doesn't have bad writing, but the plot is quite weak and some moments feel laughably ridiculous but if you don't take it too seriously, you'd probably enjoy this one as a light read - maybe after reading some heavier novels around here.As the other commenter mentioned, the reason for their misunderstanding is quite outrageous and the way Lu Xici deals with the aftermath is even more so. Aside from the misunderstanding, the author attempts an actual, bigger, main plot but the main villain is just so... weak. They have the motivation for evil but seems very incompetent at the end, it's actually amazing they had done and gotten away with so many things - supposedly.I enjoy the peanut gallery aka netizens' comments whenever a scandal happens though. Those are fun. Also, give me back my wasted emotional moment Spoiler
mourning for the loss of Jun Youyue's mothers if the author is just going to end up bringing them back at the end. I mean them travelling to the future/different dimension was a possibility that crossed my mind, but the need to have Jun Youyue breaking down and accepting their loss in the extras then bringing them back in a few extras after... at least it's a happy ending I suppose. Yay. Really reminds me of CW Supergirl and how they deal with Kara mourning her parents' death.
