This is the kind of novel you show to haters of Japanese novels to say "Hey, they're not all like that!"The protagonist reads like a real person. The harem isn't your typical Japanese harem either - the main character's status and power are vastly above the people he meets, and his behavior (and the behavior of people around him) reflects that.At first it looks like it will be focused on the le*d bits, but there's a lot of politics and war for the main character to deal with, so he begrudgingly leaves the bedroom to deal with his family's enemies. The politics and war make sense too, it's not just thrown in there to show off how amazing the protagonist is. And he is amazing, even though he's not perfect.The only problem with this novel is that it updates really slowly. There's plenty of content there already but sometimes it takes more than a month for a new chapter to come out and I want to read more already. : (
