I was brought here by Secretly's manhua adaptation, I couldn't wait for the updates and tried searching for the novel but was unfortunately disappointed by the lacking translation... and then...I FOUND THIS GEM OF A NOVEL!!!I had a crush on the brother of zhi zhi since I first saw him cuz I really like that kind of domineering type and it was obvious he was a softie inside for his sister. I like older brother types too lmao. Sure Duan Jiaxu is damn handsome and very hot and just the type to spoil his beloved which is the best, but Sang Yan is great too. This novel, I really like it.Some may say that the female lead is a bit dull and boring, but personally I relate so much to her. People often prefer the smart, more reactive types of female leads, especially the ones who boldly and courageously (with the help of friends and loved ones) overcome their traumatic past but... sometimes it's not that easy even if you have real friends by your side. I mean, sometimes people just retreat onto themselves and are afraid of being a burden to others (esp if it's family) cuz they'd feel rejected and unloved so yeah, I can really feel Wen Yifan's pain here. Not her experienced and I hope I never will, but her pain and troubles made me cry and feel a lot. I'm glad she finally had Sang Yan who unconditionally puts her in his heart as the best and number one cuz she deserves it.I cant wait for more updates by this translator, Dreamers don't Die, who is doing a really great job and makes reading this novel an easy and smooth experience, and thank you too to the previous translator. I hope though that this novel won't get dropped, I really wish to finish it and see their happy ending.So now while I not so patiently wait, let's see what the third novel of this franchise has to offer! I hope it's just as good.Edit: fck I forgot to put the five stars, and I cant find the option here anymore. I'm sorry I cant raise the rating, just know that it's a 5 stars for me!!
