It's a funny novel. It definitely feels more slice of life and is less dark than let's say "Debut or Die" or "The tr*shy PD Has To Survive as an Idol." The system feels very arbitrary though, and I'm confused on how I'm supposed to view it. It's not as cold and cruel as the actual system in Debut or Die and its no where near as empathetic as the system in tr*shy PD. It's just something thats... there. Giving tasks and managing Eden as if its a toxic idol manager. I suppose we're to see the system as just a thing that's there to push the plot along? I kind of wish the system gets a more defined role later on, but it's fine if it doesn't since the main focus of the story is more on Eden fixing his broken relationships with his friends and colleagues. I kind of wish there was more serious drama or that Eden's friends outside of his group were focused on more since they feel a tad forgettable so far. The underground scene and how they view idols and how that relationship might change over the coming years would be fun I think.

I don't know why, but while reading this, I couldn't help but think about a manhwa called "A Tidal Wave of Glory." The MC in that manhwa loves composing and producing his own songs too, so you might like reading that one too!
