More over, the plot is just lacking. I'm sorry, but from the duke (as*hole who's 'changed' into a 'good guy') ---to the countess (so, so dumb--like, ur telling me the emperor sent this woman? be fr. it's like everyone who's against them is dumb all of a sudden??? -⭐, -⭐) ---to the sudden timeskips?? and it feels like the relationship between FL and ML just kinda.... idk... fastened?? due to the timeskip and we couldnt see the full development

And I like timeskips of childhood to adulthood. IF they're written well that is. This was just sudden and rushed, though I decided to try ignore it while reading.

Also, the thing that most frustrated me is the duke

this abusive a**hole, was obsessed with ML's mom, so he forced her to be with him---and if ur smart enough...

forced relationship -> having a child = r*pe

So the rapist was basically forgiven, is what im getting from here. And he's also abusive, beating the sh*t out of ML (and since the ML seemed used to it, I wonder how long it's been going on for before FL came along)

Also, ML said that he would also probably be like that if someone took FL away, , , which... um. no comment, but please get this man a therapist before he actually becomes unstable like his father.

I hope we can ALL agree that the duke shouldnt be forgiven, no matter the reason (-⭐, because the novel is going in the direction of the duke being forgiven or portrayed as a good/changed guy)

Also, the characters are described in a certain manner, but they behave the complete opposite?? The FL isnt really that smart tbh, and I feel like she's 'dumbed-down' so the author can write cute situations with ML saving her or whatever (eg; bird incident). She's just... dumb. Or she's average ig, just surrounded by dumb people. It feels like the author created the other characters, only to highlight FL's character. (-⭐)

Overall, this novel just lacks dimension. Normally, I'd go until ch70-something before finally reviewing a novel (since I would have a good idea of the novel by that time), but I just didnt want to read this anymore. FL going into ML's mom's room was the last straw, like hello?? that does not fit into FL's character, at ALL. I'm sorry, it's a cute read if you want something super simple, but it's just not for me ig
