The story at the start is very interesting mainly because it doesn’t have the usual Nationalistic pro China trope. It does have the usual Chinese style MC that solves his problem by scamming people and stealing/copying things. Yes, it’s a real adage in China that the only way to wealth quickly is to steal from others which is why usually see many Chinese work with the MC having kleptomaniac tendencies.The entire story so far is how he uses understanding of psychology to manipulate and scam people. While it’s funny at the beginning, the story started getting very tedious and repetitive.There is no romance for the MC. After you read for a while it feels like the MC is not actually part of the story but is more of the master mind behind the scene kind of guy. While it sounds cool if you are an 8th grader, it became increasing boring kind of like seeing your teacher giving a lecture.Be warned the MC is a real nut case and so is the author. The prologue was not kidding about him being crazy. The author is either sponsored by the tobacco company or himself a chain smoker. Everyone, except kids under 18, are chain smokers or eventually become one.I finally gave up after getting bored. It’s still an interesting read if you get really bored. The first 150 or so chapters are good though.
