I really liked this one. It's not perfect, but the novel is extremely enjoyable and heartwarming. So, about age difference. It's weird, but nothing new for transmigration and time travel tropes. Honestly, at least both MC and ML are both mentally teenagers (MC is 16 and ML is 19). MC is in a body of a 10 year old and in the first chapters Spoiler
it's revealed that ML does know that her true form is older
[collapse]... MC also doesn't behave like a small child, too. If you still find that you're uncomfortable with the premise, then don't even start reading.Honestly, I don't see people talking about pe*ophilia when middle-aged aunty is reborn into a small child and then proceeds to take the true small child as her fiancé. Or when a middle-aged man in a teenager body finds a harem of young women. Why people are so angry in this case, I have no idea. Especially when other characters talk about the age difference every couple of chapters.I really loved the characters, they feel authentic and have their own opinions and motivations. Romantic line is more like a subplot when the political plotline is often on the foreground. The plot is really good and the author masterfully balances different aspects as character growth, humor, trauma and main serious storyline. However, it's still a light read, which means that author is shameless: MC is OP (not Mary Sue, too. She makes bad decisions that other character don't approve of or don't understand), Deus ex machina will visit repeatedly and the author likes to temporally downgrade OP characters so it would be possible to even place them in the life-threatening situations. This novel is NOT REALISTIC, but I enjoyed reading it knowing that like in a classic shojo, the characters will survive and be together in the end. Even after going through very traumatic events, they don't stop looking for the better life. The main challenge for MC is Spoilerbasically stopping the ML from going rogue
[collapse], but in my opinion personal relationships interest the author more and as a reader you can feel it.Masterfully written time travel shojo, with the usual disadvantages of the genre and unusually good written advantages. Drink some tomato beer and enjoy! (If you want to pretend to be surprised by the age difference then wait a few months for the anime adaptation and go to Twitter. sh*t will hit a fan and you will be able to poke it with a stick as much as your heart desires lol)
