The Idol Group and the Crown Chapter Completed Discussion

10/10, definitely would reread this one again (TN, please don't delete your translations huhu). Be warned though, this story is also under Psychological genre, so expect that it'll be heavy. I don't really read much about entertainment or showbiz novels, mostly I just want to read this genre in a QT novel. However, there hasn't been any new QT novels that I found interesting, leading me to this absolutely a gem of a story.

The protagonist is everyone's beloved and favorite, which was shown several times.

Every character on this story is well-fleshed out, actually making you believe that they are truly real, mainly because Corona's rise and is quite similar to real boy bands one way or another.

The novel also showed the dark side of the entertainment industry very well. The pressure, the evil, the selfishness, and the sacrifices for the pursuit of endless fame and fortune.

"Eat, sleep, privacy.

Love, emotion, words.

Health, space, desire.

Contracts cannot bind everything stated.

All will be sacrificed to endless fame and wealth."

-Pei Ruye, 2011

This novel actually made me look forward to the end, and made me not want for more. Simply because it truly ended well. It erased every thorn I had on this story. Actually ending it this way, at this pace, is so much and truly better, the best of both worlds. The end, indeed, gave me peace.

Undoubtedly, this novel also made me truly realize something about music. I can't remember exactly, however, Xie Lianyun's opinions about music and the music composed by others is truly ingraved on my mind.

Also, I would just like to point out that the entertainment industry these days, no matter which country, the age requirement for being famous dancer or whatever, for being an idol, is getting lower and lower each year. Trainees, are actually either scouted or auditioned at a very young age. I remember a Kpop Idol, not even a teen, when he/she started training in one of the BIG 3 (forgot which Idol). Also, success at a very young age, especially outside of one's home country, and if that person undergone national-level or worldwide competitions and won as a champion, are actually not rare, but also not common. It truly just depends, regardless of which era and timeline we are and this story is in.

Spoiler

my heart is so heavy right from the very start, chapter 1, I read a review saying that there was su*cide involve and I thought it was Hou Ren, then I realized that it wasn't him, so starting when Chi Ji's fake death, the weight in my heart doubled.

[collapse]

ps. Not gonna lie, this story inspired me to write another lyrics

pps. Actually wrote this review for 40 minutes 😭🤧

pps. If you want some music to listen while reading chapter 130 (might be actually chapter 135 or 139) and up, Dynasty, is the go.

This is so sweet. I just love kateleya's demeanor. I hope with that little sexcapade they did at that washroom will bring in little kike or kat......
