Dropped. It was a really good read on the early stages but I felt like it got too dragged. Plot is good but not well planned. There were also certain inconsistencies such as the author mentioning that immortals can survive without eating but then there was a part where Spoiler
MC cooked noodles to please ML and ML got "hungry" so he ate it
[collapse] and a whole lot more that are really questionable.I struggled a lot with the cultivation levels which wasn't really explained by the author (but explained by the translator, thank you very much) and the time frame wasn't really clear despite some flashbacks.I felt like I read a whole different story when MC discovered his real identity. Everyone became OOC especially the MC. He was a cunning and a smart child doing everything he can to survive Spoilerbut then when he discovered his real identity and his memories were sealed for the second time, he became a s*upid face con and got engaged, almost got married to a random peacock, after "dual cultivating" with ML. Although I think it's so that he can enjoy his childhood again but it became too much for me to bear.
[collapse] The author's writing honestly made me hate MC towards the end. At first I really liked his character despite his shortcomings but towards the later parts... He just seemed like a s*upid child for me, and I'm sorry but I couldn't tolerate his attitude. Some of the side characters were also forgotten and discarded after being "used" for the plot progression. I feel like some of them weren't justified well.I felt like this story lost its potential due to the redundancy of the plot. I was so excited reading this but then it just got too boring for me, skipping some parts, and then finally just dropping it to avoid wasting time.
