I really liked it at first. But 70 chapters in, it becomes kinda meh.I will try not to give much spoilers and details. But the author really wants to make the MC look like a heroic, self-sacrificing soldier. That is fine and all as I liked it in the beginning. But 70 chapters in, it is still the same thing over and over. I know this is a story about soldiers, but it is way over the top. Every character looks up REALLY favorably and highly to MC and his fellow soldiers. It made me feel like the author is overdoing it at this point. How much is it overdone? It is to the point that Spoiler
all the nobles, the emperor, and the emperor's kids try to make him look good and honorable
[collapse].One last thing I gotta complain about is the medal of honor. This oneSpoilerFor a medal that was supposed to be so hard to get that less than a hundred people got it since the founding of the empire. Why would he get it for simply saving a train from being hijacked?
I know that because of his actions, he was able to save nobles from other countries and was able to prevent a coup or something like that. But it will make you think. If it is this simple to get a medal, then surely. Other people should have gotten them as well.
[collapse]Author is overdoing it and make it feels repetitive.
