I won't rate this novel as I haven't read it completely. The following is my personal opinion.I'll be honest, the only reason I read this far is because all the different arcs had their unique stories and that was quite interesting to read.However, I can't bring myself to continue for the following reasons:As this is a sequel, there is no sparks between MC and ML meeting for the first time etc. They both love each other as they have been husbands for many years. Their interactions don't give me butterflies in the stomach if u get what I mean. I found myself skipping most of their interactions.Both MC's and ML's personalities is nothing special in the Chinese novel world. I'm pretty sure I've read at least a dozen BL novels with the same trope of the overbearing MLs and the smart but submissive-to-ML MCs. It's getting kinda old.The more I continued to read the novel, the more I realised that I had nothing to look forward to in this novel. I can already guess the ending with the MC saving the day, getting back his powers and riding into the sunset together with the ML.So again, I read this far only because each arc had a fairly captivating back story. I'll be stopping here.
