Yall. This is such a good story. The love between our main characters is so sweet 🥹 MC is so gentle and patient, trying to guide his bb back to sanity and a healthiet three world views without judgement.Okay, so I wanted to disagree with what some other reviewers have said about this being a chore to get through. I absolutely disagree. I think it's a matter of perspective and what genres you're used to. To me, this flows pretty zippily and the writing is fairly standard fiction prose, and the translation is excellent.Sometimes you get a translation of something that feels choppy, and this feels mostly smooth. Maybe it's because I usually read cultivation novels? Now those draaaaaag even though I love them.To me this is easy to read and the concepts are interesting. So don't be intimidated by what some people have said about it being laborious reading despite the quality content, I think it depends on what you're used to reading. The plots of each arc and the mannerisms of the characters do feel repetitive, but because of the way the story builds and the hints we get later on about what's going on outside of the small worlds involving the system and our MC's real world the repetition sounds more like emphasis of a concept than lazy writing. Like, every time we see an echo of past arcs, every time someone repeats, you think "oooooooh, maybe this is the truth????" Like there's a tickling at the back of your mind that you might be catching on to what's happening. Bigger plot afoot. It's refreshing, sometimes these QT stories feel like they're not going anywhere, just enjoying each plot until *BAM* stories done. "We've reached the arbitrary threshold needed to compete the plot so that's it, happily ever after." This though? I actually feel like we're building towards something, and I'm so eager to see what happens when the "truth" is revealed.
