This novel started off alright, but quickly got me hooked. The story is paced well, and there are many interesting mysteries to be uncovered.I like that the protagonist is smart, which makes it satisfying to see the ways he deals with the various events in the story.However, I didn't like that nearly all of the women in the story are "beautiful" and "charming". I think it's unrealistic that almost every woman that appears is beautiful but only a few of the men are handsome, and only the women have their legs, chest, and bu*t described constantly. And it's strange for the protagonist to say his own aunt has a slender waist and a soft and round butt. The focus on women here is incredibly annoying to me.Spoiler
So what happens is that the college student Zhang Yuanqing enters the (hidden) world of Spirit Realm Walkers through a character card sent from his friend. Spirit Realm Walkers are divided into factions, and which class they are assigned dictates which faction they will join, in general. Each Spirit Realm Walker will periodically enter an instance to complete a mission, either in solo mode or multiplayer. Zhang Yuanqing joins the government's organization of Spirit Realm Walkers, which gives him access to their instance strategies and other information.
(I strongly advise you not to look up spoilers because I did and I saw a major spoiler that I feel has ruined a lot of the story for me.)
[collapse]Another thing to consider before reading is that this novel currently has the most number of bookmarks on Qidian, across all categories. I think that has to mean something.
