(a huge thank you to the translator for doing an excellent job with this one!) a paranormal bl is one of the best combination that can exist, and this novel proves the very same.initially I had some doubts about the way the novel is written in the 'first-person format' due to my pre-existing notions of these being the very un-readable and un-enjoyable, but its only when you venture into the depths of the novel that you feel the novel is actually written in the most perfect format, providing a very immersive read so much so that I could literally feel myself in the shoes of the MC.the thrill of the plot is very well delivered, and the whole trope of 'something taking the place of a loved one' is inherently so bizarre and riveting and this novel delivers all the right feels at the right times.there is another aspect of this novel that hits one right in the heart, that if you love somebody deeply, you will go all the miles to ensure that they are cared for, something that both the MC and ML prove.if you love a good dose of love in a horror setting then this is a perfect read, even if the genre is not something you like, please do consider giving it a read, it will not disappoint you.
