A very bland and formulaic novel. The author prefaces the story by saying that he's been reading web novels for 10 years, and wanted to write his ideal novel. Apparently his ideal novel is a completely safe, boring, trope-ridden novel that offers nothing new or interesting. Let's see what we have.
- Reincarnated as the villain, but acts nothing like the villain and no one actually acts evil, and his past as an evil antagonist never comes up again because he maintained a good public image? Check.
- The women are acting different because I'm not acting like a villain? Huh? Duuuurrrrrrrrr, eh? *Drools on shirt* Guh?
- Whenever he needs to do something, he just buys it from the System store and instantly becomes a master (and he'll always have plenty of System money to spare because he gets thousands for each point of Favorability the various female characters give him) ? Check.
- Wherever he goes, women instantly love him, and men are always jealous of him? Check.
- Despite saying how boring typical novels from the Protagonist's perspective are because they're all about face slapping and revenge, he somehow is more bland and lifeless than the actual Protagonist of the original novel? Check.
- His goal, as mandated by the System, is to deprive the Protagonist of opportunities. We're lead to believe that the Protagonist somehow deserves it, because Heaven and Earth favor him and will bend reality to accommodate him anyway. He's the "villain" in the novel he's transmigrated into, but he's not actually acting as the villain, so what motivation does he actually have to screw over the Protagonist? There is none, but the System rewards him with cheat items when he does, so he does it. That's not an interesting story.
- The Protagonist, who so far has only shown up a few times in the background, is actually way more interesting than our "villain" protagonist who has the humble beta personality of wet cardboard.
