Quick Transmigration: Male God, Shine Bright! Chapter 1649 Discussion

I MTLed a lot here.

And this is a rant.

I have a love and hate relationship with this author.

They have the ability to create interesting arcs, as seen in both of their previous works.

Her two previous protagonists? I absolutely loved Ming Shu and Shi Sheng was okay.

But Chu Zheng makes me want to jump over a freaking cliff.

The character was fine most arcs.

But her weird captivity fetish is too much for me. I detest people like this.

And getting away from the protagonist, I'm more frustrated by the author's decisions.

Unlike in the other two works, the author somehow thought it would be okay to just cut off the arcs midway.

While in some arcs that's perfectly fine as those stories weren't going to get interesting anyway, it's frustrating to see it happen to actually good arcs and the author themself is fully aware of it as in the author's note you can see them apologizing once.

Maybe there's some sort of quota you have to fulfill - okay then, but couldn't you plan it a little better?

This author has an amazing ability to both make me intrigued and invested in the world and piss me the f*ck off.

This author can craft such amazing worlds but also often f*cking ruins them with a hammer.

The money spending aspect and overarching story makes this work stand out from her other two which didn't really have any direction - but this story pisses me off so f*cking much - way more than the other two.

One arc I'm really pissed about is one in which the ML essentially has the mental capacity of a child and MC still finds it acceptable to have a romantic relationship with him. It's f*cking gross and what makes it even worse is that the author had the tools within that arc to "cure" him but chose not to - instead letting us witness this f*cking ancient grandma taking advantage of what is essentially a child and this author, in her authors note, laughed at her reader's desire to see him be cured.

She will cut off arcs when she wants to, and make her characters do whatever she godddamn wants them to.

I would respect that attitude normally but I'm absolutely livid right now.

I'm glad this story is in hiatus. I hope it burns in hell and never revives because it doesn't deserve to.

I'm giving it three stars because some of the arcs are good and most are average - but there are some that are such dogsh*t they'll make you feel visceral anger.
