This novel simply caught me by surprise after starting with the manhwa and finding the story to be intriguing enough to continue with the novel. What astounded me the most was the vocabulary used by the author (and subsequently the translation team). The writing was simply exquisite. The dialogues were extremely well written and I could understand every subtlety written by the author. If only for this fact, please read this novel. As for the story itself, it is very complex and is definitely researched. Every character is interesting and I find myself liking a lot of them and remembering their names even though there's a decent amount of them lol.I binge read the entire novel in a single night because of how invested I was in the plot. One thing that I especially loved compared to other novels I have read so far, is that the political part of the arranged marriage is not neglected at all. In fact, it often comes back to slap us in the face and make us realize that —damn... these characters are not going to be happy for a while, are they?Jokes aside, I also really appreciated the subtle switches between povs which could have made it confusing but was all but that. It kept me invested in every character without having to spell out which character we had to focus on at the moment. Not to mention the complexities of each of them made it even better. I have not been bored when reading a different pov yet. In fact, I sometimes found myself wondering when I would encounter these characters again. In a nutshell, great writing for a novel with great characters and plot.
