Echoing Marcus's sentiments, the bad reviews on this story are very misleading and misrepresent the story entirely. This is a perfectly good piece of fiction. The MC doesn't hide his powers, it's literally the opposite. He hides why he's strong because his power has a big weakness. The story doesn't make him "s*upid" for dramatic tension. There literally isn't dramatic tension, all misunderstandings the story's characters have about him are very comedic and lighthearted. He is not a "eunuch" just because he doesn't throw himself on the female leads, there hasn't even been much romantic progress from the side of the female leads so idk where that complaint comes from. Spoiler
(Not to mention the fact that he's still mourning the girlfriend he lost in his past life)
[collapse]He is not even remotely a "s*ave" to the original plot. He tries to maintain status quo behind the scenes so the world doesn't fall apart, but in no way does he try to keep the events the same. The story in no way portrays the MC as an objective good, in fact the world itself has a whole lot of grey. SpoilerA scene another reviewer brought up is how the enemy kingdom wanted to assassinate a ruthless general of the empire that exterminated towns if he felt he had to. He was set to appear in a public stadium during an event, and the enemy kingdom wanted to use that as an opportunity to kill him... by blowing up the stadium and killing thousands of empire citizens as collateral. The MC stopped that plan because A. thousands of innocents were going to die and B. the general would be useful in the future and C. it could reignite the war.
[collapse] I do not like the fact that the other reviewer disingenuously criticized that scene completely misrepresenting the themes of this story and the context of what was happening in it.Give it a shot. It has good character writing, a healthy amount of funny moments, interesting dynamics between the characters, and plenty of "cool" moments for the MC to capture your attention. It's a fun experience.
