3.5 stars, had a problem trying to adjust the stars.

Inconsistent - if MC is a zombie why can they just kiss with no consequences
Zombie with no taste for human flesh who can eat sleep and sh*t (sorry for the vulgarity) the only tell tale sign being increased strength. Should have written him as a strength based super power.

I haven't finished the story due to these reasons, it doesn't read like an apocalyptic novel to me.
