if you already get used by light writing style then this series maybe wouldn't fit with you, cause almost every detail described by writer, if I should make an example maybe goblin slayer will be similiar, but with less comedy and more detail.

In the end I think this series have it own advantages that made me still reading it even with long and solid chapter, so rather than rate it without even read single chapter but just see those bad review I think you just have to read it a bit and rate it by yourself
