Personally, I found this novel rather generic and bland. There's no real depth to either characters or plot and everyone comes off as one-note.The villains, MC's biological family, are the most boring evil family members who don't understand what they're doing is wrong and think the whole world revolves around their baby Yanyan (MC's evil white lotus twin). Characters like these would be fine in a more entertaining ridiculous novel or a short world in a quick transmigration novel where depth is sacrificed for pacing or entertainment. In a longer novel like this, they just come across as mustache twirling cartoon characters where they're so evil to the point of comic. (MC's dirty little paws touched my tea set throw the whole tea set away! Ewww) MC himself isn't much more interesting. He's the reborn protag who knowing the true faces of these comically evil biological family members, repels them and sticks to his adopted family but as with everything else, he comes across a little bland. There's a certain level of immaturity in the writing of this novel. Things like random crowd npcs changing their mind based on one cool comeback from protag or their gang. Granted that's not uncommon but it doesn't help the flatness of this novel. If this is your initial foray into rebirth/better life novels, it could serve as a serviceable read but otherwise, I suggest a skip.
