I Lived with the Villain in the ’70s Chapter 33.1 Discussion

The premise of the story is good and it's unique for a chinese novel set in the 70s to have a character with dissociative identity disorder (DID). However, as I've read until chapter 33, I find myself being uncomfortable most of the times.

So far, all characters introduced aside from ML have something wrong with their personality. MC is selfish and has blatant favoritism. It does not help that she's not efficient at all. After 33 chapters she has not achieved much aside from giving ML a supply of apples and snacks. ML's parents are s*upid and used-to-be-evil-but-now-guilty characters. They make the situation worse and everything involving them is annoying to read. The relatives are ultimate tr*sh. The novel's female lead surnamed Bai is too self-righteous and has a knack for attracting men by being 'kind'. Basically, the only character left that you can accept here is the ML. It's ironic because it's him that is mentally ill, but he's the best out of this rotten bunch.

this book was amazing in my opinion. All the ups and downs were crazy. I couldn't even believe it when Blake got out then found out he had kids.
