How do you fake a loss and still kill a guy?

As expected of Apachai, he never holds back. And Agaard seems to be making Apachai into an opponent worthy for himself. Did he succeed? As much as I like this flashback, I hope it finishes next chapter so we can see more of their fights in the present.

obviously if you hit a guy with a technique that takes a while u can fake loose and the guy will still die, it just requires a technique that takes a little while to take effect. the real trick is losing before the guy dies

wow aggard let the guy be the "champion",  but aggard killed him  the flash back will hopefully end next chapter.
