The story follows the protagonist, Frey, who is sent back in time with the mission to save the world from the demon lord. However, he is given a seemingly evil and unreliable system that forces him to keep his true identity a secret. This leads to a series of misunderstandings and conflicts with the main heroines, who initially view him as a villain. The novel successfully challenges the common trope of keeping one's regression a secret by incorporating the "False Evil System" as a central plot device. This adds a layer of complexity and intrigue to the story, making it stand out amongst other similar works. The character development of both the MC and the heroines is well-executed, and the world-building, while not the strongest aspect of the story, is sufficient to support the overall narrative. The plotting is quite strong and has a deep tangled mystery with many layers and from readers who have read ahead, it seems a lot of it will pay-off so I'm excited for that.Overall, this novel offers a unique and engaging experience for readers who enjoy character-driven stories with a blend of tragedy, mystery, and fantasy elements. While it may not be for everyone, those who appreciate a fresh take on a familiar genre will likely find this story to be a rewarding read.
