I can now see why most people gave up on the story after the second arc jaslkjfa It's not a bad read! The premise is pretty interesting and the writing is not bad. The translators also did pretty well. Just, the development of the plot and the charcters is... eh. The two main characters get together after the first arc and because of how the MC is played outside the SYSTEM, you can only depend on cannon fodders that die literally the next second in order to get a sense of the story. If the pacing was a little slower and the interactions between the two characters more interesting, I'd have kept reading. But, unfortunately, the author didn't really seem to care much about developing the romance. Making it feel rather bland and hurried.

CHARACTERS:

Zhou Yu (MC) : He's a reincarnator that retained the memories of his past life (he seems to be related to the SYSTEM in some way, but it's different from the players that he meets.) He progressively becomes more and more of a Gary Stu as the story continues LOL! But, he starts off as a pretty average White Lotus-type protagonist that earns the affection of the dark and dangerous love interest. His background is in hacking, but it doesn't really affect the story as the first couple of worlds are historical (and by the time he gets to more futuristic worlds, he's already become.... well, godly, is all I'll say for now LOLOL.)

Feng Xing (ML) : The protagonist of the world that the MC first ends up in. There, his background is pretty pitiful and his character settings had him already in love with the original!MC. With Zhou Yu acting kindly to him, he falls relatively quickly.

ROMANCE:

The romance in this is pretty weak. The character settings were already pretty vanilla to start with, but the author's handling of their relationship progression from then on made it feel meh?

PLOT:

After dying from an unsatisfying life, the MC finds himself reborn in a horror movie (not that he knows it, he just thinks that he's been reborn). He decides to just live his new life there but ends up getting involved because of the ML, who is the protagonist/villain of said world.

RATING:

The rating for this is 3! It's not bad, it has its charms, but yeah, it's hard to stay interested in it. I'd recommend it for someone who is interested in exploring unique worldbuilding (the worlds in this, at least the ones I read about, which was 3/7 (?), were pretty interesting!) Don't read it for the main characters T.T is what I'm saying.

RANDOM RATINGS: (VERY BIASED)

  • Personal Enjoyment Rating: 2/5 (I enjoyed it at first, but slowly lost interest.)
  • Literary Quality: 3.5/5 (without good characters, it's hard to care about the author's unique worldbuilding.)
  • Characters: 1/5
  • Setting: 4/5
  • Heat Level: Level 0 (Non-explicity)
  • Horror Level: Level 1 (It's horror but not scary)
  • Angst Level: Level 1.5. (There's drama, but not tear-jerking drama)

good start but please don't make it too long.i get bored when a novel/story is too long going round and round with too many schemes and cruelty

thank you...from start til the end at Luca's story...I was hooked.  I heard before somewhere that if you watch a movie or read a book and it still lingers after it ends...then it was excellent!!!  KUDOS!!! EXCELLENT JOB!!!
