Honestly a breath of fresh air. Main character is likeable, intelligent, proactive. Side characters are written well also.

I enjoyed the depiction of magic & swordsmanship--it actually takes a central role here and the system seems original and well thought out.

Setting (Modern/fantasy) is interesting and unique as well.

The writing sometimes gets a little cheesy but the characters and the magic make it enjoyable nonetheless.

The story HAD SO MUCH POTENTIAL. The grammar was atrocious, the constant sentence breaks and inadequate/inaccurate dialogue dragged and made it difficult to read. It was a struggle.

Loved! Really hoping for a sequel but either way loved the buildup of the couple. Only let down was it felt like it ended before the real danger/drama could happen.
