Honestly, I basically hate all harem. It usually comes off as a crappy author doing wish fulfillment. In this novel though, it works. The MC doesn't want harem. Honestly he'd probably happily cut ties with all the women chasing him if he could do it safely. Unfortunately he's in a situation where breaking off the relationships could literally cause the end of the world.It sound ridiculous, but at least for me, the author really sells it.
